Custom Study DLL for Sierra Charts

I am starting this section for custom studies for Sierra Charts. For my first offering, it is a simple Stop Bar line chart that will draw a horizontal line indicating the high and low of the last X bars you specify (current bar that is unclosed is not included).

Instructions on how to setup a custom dll study for Sierra Chart can be found in Sierra Chart website. Here is a summary of the steps you need to do to use this custom study.

• Copy the file at_sc.dll to your SierraChart directory.
• Select Analysis/Studies menu in SierraChart program.
• Select Custom DLL Study under "Studies Available"
• Click Add Button
• Select the Custom DLL Study and click the Settings Button
• Type at_sc.stopbar in the DLLName.ExternalFunctionName field
• Type the number of bars you want to use. I use 3 for this value.
• Set Chart Region to 1
• Change the color of line 1 and line 2 to whatever you like.
• Click OK to exit Settings window, Click Ok again to exit studies window.
• You should now see the high/low line plotted for the last X bars you specified.
